Industry partners are involved in center governance, curriculum design, student assessment, and implementation of practical training within companies*. The educational concept is based on competency-based education and the dual system** that combines classroom learning and field training in the work environment, supported by 21st century digital tools and skills, as well as leadership skills and green innovation. The program includes **three years of basic technical education** followed by two years of advanced specialization developed in cooperation with technological universities and industrial companies**

, in order to ensure international academic recognition and the possibility of completing higher education. The centers also include branches of the Technical Training and Education Academy (TVETA) to train and qualify teachers and technicians. They also offer short courses to develop the skills of workers in the industrial sector*. Under the supervision of the Swedish Technical Academy (STA) * as the main operator, the Centers of Excellence project will be a leading model of modern technical education in Egypt that will contribute to raising the quality of education, increasing employment opportunities, supporting innovation, and achieving sustainable development in different economic sectors.

The first axis: lifelong learning

• Enhancing the student's abilities to develop their own skills.

• Provide students with research and survey skills.

• Providing students with self-learning skills.

• Providing students with some higher thinking skills (creative thinking - problem solving - critical thinking)

The second axis: citizenship

• Introducing the student to the concept of rights and duties.

• Establishing the concept of digital citizenship among students.

• Enable students to participate in public life.

• Enable students to use the language of effective dialogue in light of the diversity of opinions and cultures.

The third axis: effective communication

• Developing students' communication skills.

• Qualifying students for good and successful communication with themselves and others.

• Introducing the student to the concept of communication, its importance, types and elements.

• Enable students to prepare themselves to speak in front of an audience and present themselves appropriately.

Strategies used to implement this program

Promote a culture of health, safety and environment among staff and students through training.

Ensure a safe and secure environment for all students, staff and visitors

Review all building-level plans to maximize safety and effectively implement safety plans.

Comply with legal firefighting requirements.

Implement COVID-19 precautions, including sterilization, awareness, and quarantine.
